Called Golfsmith today to see what was up with my fitted Diablo forged irons I ordered 2 weeks ago. Talked to a guy in receiving and he said he would call Callaway to find out when they were coming in. He calls me back 5 minutes later and says Callaway has the Diablo forged club heads on backorder...and won't be available until June 1st!! WTF? Anyone else had this happen or is also in the same situation? Seems crappy to me, it's not like these clubs were released last week.

The guy at Golfsmith told me I could wait it out or cancel the order and look for something else. I'm going to wait it out as painful as it is :)

They must be selling alot of them. I'm going to go hit them this week. I really want to like them.

Ive hit them. They are cool and are good irons but they say they are for players who need more forgivness. I didnt feel that much forgiviness and as a matter of fact i hit the titlieist ap2's better. Dont get me wrong the diablo forged irons are good so dont be turned off from them by my comment.

Maltby shows that you are indeed right there. The Diablo forged shows up at 543, a conventional rating. The AP2 comes in at 551, just a touch higher, but in the game improvement category. The AP2 710 though, actually is a little harder to hit, coming in at 548, and just barely crossing into the conventional category.

Still, it's higher than my irons, which come in at 337. Actually, the Titleist AB forged come in at 495, while the ZM are 394. The newer 710 CBs are 517, while the 710 MBs are 321. Titleist irons are generally very good clubs, and are easier to hit than most people give them credit for.
