Do you think your bag should match your clubs?

I think your bag should be more a decision of function over appearnce..but that's just me. I'll give everyone a laugh at my expense. Last year I needed a new bag so I went to Dick's and found a bag that I really liked. It was a Datrek. Had plenty of good sized pockets, not too big, not too small. Nice dividers...the whole package. i bought it and played with it all last year. Last week I downloaded an Iphone app called Iclub. It's a program that allows you to catalog all your equipment. I went to enter my bag and realized I didn't know which model it was. I verified on the bag that it was a "Verge" So I googled it and damn if it isn't a "ladies" bag. It's not frilly colored. It's black with grey trim...no girlie designs etc. But on the fabric print under very close observation you can make out heart designs all over it. Needless to say my girlfriend was putting her clubs in it within a couple of hours and I'm now the proud owner of a Sun Mountain BLACK C-130 bag. She told me she was surprised I played as well as I did last year with my boobs in the way and all...

I use a Titleist staff bag only because my fat buddies all ride golf carts. I prefer a bag thats comfortable to carry without logos. Why be a walking billboard for a golf club company who could give a chit about you?

I match all of my clubs to my bag. I decided this year to theme out my whole set, put yellow/black multicompounds on all clubs (804os), bettinardi bc1 putter (black yellow) in my black and yellow ultra lightweight bag, took a rally towel from a playoff bruins game and stuck a gromet on it and use that. I also went out and bough a bear headcover. Do what makes you happy, confidence will follow

I've got an Ogio bag so it doesn't really apply to me but I wouldn't have been against buying a bag I liked just because I didn't own any clubs from that maker.

To the OP - I carry a Ping bag, but none of their clubs. I think they make an outstanding bag.

My bag is basd on what I wanted in my carry bag which was 14 way full length dividers, at the time the Nike one was the only one I found so I got it, I only carry one Nike club, my driver.
Rest are Ping other than my hybrid which is Cobra (because I hit it better than the G10 hybrid on test)

My bag fits my clubs only because it's the only one that I tried and it cost 80$ compared to the retail price of 190$. It fits my clubs and has everything I need in a bag but for what I care I could have bought an Ogio or Sun Mountain bag without any problems. However I wasn't really able to find one that would beat the price of my X97 i bought that one.

Whatever knocks your hair back. Personally, my Callaway bag doesn't match any of my clubs. When I bought it I was looking for something that would be easy to carry and with a cooler pocket. I did get some blank headcovers that match my bag. I will admit that I didn't like all my mismatched headcovers that went with my POS clubs.

No, unless you get paid too, having said that, I usually pick what works overall, but try to stick with Mizuno's bags because they are well designed and nice to carry.
