Any new wedge from a decent manufacturer can put plenty of spin on a ball if struck well. Vokeys & Clevelands are by far the most popular (I use both...really like the CG14--would have got the 50* too but they don't make it lefty). For a 56, you might want one with a little more bounce (i'm guessing your 52 and 60 probably are std to low bounce as most are) for easier use from sand.

Mizuno MP T-10. I love mine. Its got all the feel that Mizuno wedges have always had, but with the new Quad Cut grooves you get quite a bit more backspin than you did with the MP-R MP-T or MP series wedges.

Anything by Cleveland / Titleist and you won't go far wrong. Some of the older Clevelands, the CG10 or 12's will spin the ball nicely. But as others have said you need to strike it will and use an appropriate ball. People often overlook bounce when getting a wedge. It all depends and what your current wedges have and what type of course you play. If you current wedges have standard bounce then go for the same with the 56. If you play on a course with tight fairways and firm sand then you may want a bit less bounce than standard, or if your fairways are fluffy with soft sand you want more bounce. Cleveland denote bounce with red dots on the hosel (well they do with the CG12 not sure about anything else though.

You might try the MP R series wedges - they are on sale now for $70 or less. MP R comes with 56.10 and 56.13 sand wedges. Also, unless you really like the MX 100 GW, consider picking up an MP R 52.07 - that way your middle wedges would match better.

I look at this a little differently than others...

Are you unhappy with your LW on short pitches? Conversely, do you feel comfortable backing off your 52 and throwing it up high and soft OR hitting a really hard shot with your 60?

If you aren't having a hard time with your game and where you play and what you like to do, don't go get another wedge!!!

I carry a sand wedge because I like to use it from 100-45 yards or so to throw it up in the air...I do NOT like hitting full LW shots - so I don't. I do almost everything around the green with my 60, even chipping, enjoying the initial check i get on short pitches and chips before they run out. That's how I play.

For you - if it's not broke, don't fix it. screwing with your wedge set up can affect the way you score because so much of your game is played in close. if you're unhappy with something...go get a cheapie sand wedge first (or maybe a used one) and play around with it a little before going to an expensive wedge that's going to screw up your game.

Is any of those your sand wedge?

The "standard" sand wedge is 56 degrees with a pretty high bounce (10-16 degrees). If you don't have a sande wedge you may want to consier getting one.
