After weeks of playing with significant pain in my left foot, I finally broke down and went to a podiatrist. I was glad the x-ray showed no sign of a bone spur and was diagnosed with a neuroma. After a shot of stuff in my foot, I played pain free for the first time in many months last night. I need to get shots for the next few weeks and wear othotic inserts in my shoes. It took a while to get used to hitting in them since I am a little higher off the ground, but well worth it to be able to transfer weight on my left foot without grimacing.

Has anyone else had a Morton's neuroma? Did other treatments help, not that it wasn't a joy and treat to have a needle jammed in the bottom of my foot?

A guy i played baseball with in college got that somehow...unfortunately he just went through the same joys you've had of gettin a needed jammed every couple weeks. I hope you feel better man, won't lie, i was in rehab with him (i had a broken left ankle), and it didn't sound too fun.

After several weeks of doing OK, the pain and swelling is coming back. I have another appt. tomorrow with the podiatrist. I talked to someone else who had this and had to get surgery to fix it.
