Hey guys I played 18 the other day and the next day my left wrist hurts a little. Its lasted a couple days, is this not normal? btw Im right handed

Were at on the wrist,

Can you hold a golf club in that hand alone? Does it hurt to hold items, bend it, rotate it? Is it a sharp pain or just constantly aching and stiff?

Also, did you hit a golf ball out of very thick rough during that round?

One question to add to that: Is it pressure sensetive? Ie, does it only hurt when you squeeze?

well its more like it hurts when I put a club in my hand and when coming across to hit the ball it is sore. Its not that bad at all, but it is a little sore at the hinge only when using a club

Mine is the same, have pain in the left wrist, in line with my little finger so left side if you put hand flat on a desk, around the joint.
Don't really notice it unless carrying weight with arms in front of me (so loading the area that hinges on the back swing, say carrying recycle boxes as example) I do feel pain however as soon as I pick up a golf club (again due to wrist position and weight of club at address) this is painful until I have hit a few balls during warm-up.

It has not been bad enough to go to docs to check it out though as it comes and goes.

This week's golf fitness academy on golf channel covers wrist release and mentions the reason for the sore left wrist. Check it out.
