Between the White Hot Tour #9 brand new for about $90 and the Black i series #9 used (still in excellent shape, with only a couple of marks on the top of the head) for $130, which would you go for?

They feel pretty similar to me.

Are there any/many differences between the two (mainly thinking about the insert) other than their original cost and their trade-in/sale value?

Your opinions are appreciated.

If they feel similar i say go for the one you like the looks of best. Also price makes a difference to me!

They are pretty similar putters, with very similar inserts, the Black series is just a later version with updated engraving & paintfill.

I tried both and went with the WH Tour. It felt better to me, plus I liked the fact that the sight line went all the way back. I believe both models use the same insert (firmer than the XG series). Both are great putters.

There are actually three different ones:

The WHT is a 340g head. There are two black i series that I could choose from - one with a 340g head, and the other with a 350g head. However, all three are the same length, which surprised me a bit since I figured the 350g head would be on a 33" or 34" shaft. Maybe it was reshafted or lengthened at some point. . .

      _sigh_ so close to red text.  Went away for three days, but didn't do a practice morning-of-departure (Friday) nor evening-of-return (Sunday), so I had three misses, back to day one.       Day 254 5-4 Arms off chest in backswing and downswing. Short swing, pause and then hit.  Hit foam balls. Keeping arching of wrist a focus as well.

      I would think of it in terms of time. The time it takes to get the arm angle into a good position to deliver the club with proper shaft lean. Another component is rotation, but that is also a matter of timing. It relates to how the body stalls to give the golfer time to hit the ball. If you have to get 80+ degrees out of that right elbow in one third of a second versus 50 degrees in the same time then you have to steal time from somewhere. It is usually body rotation. That does not help with shaft lean.  I agree in that amateurs tend to make the swing more complicated than pro golfers.
