Alot of my divots are starting before the ball and i find my right arm is straightening out before impact. Any cures, or drills to fix this?

Look up the "flying wedge drill". It's very popular.

I doubt it is your arms, the right arm i supposed to straighten out. Look up weight shift and sliding the hips.

It could be the arms. The right arm should still have some flex at impact. If your right arm is straight we call that "running out of right arm."

But undoubtedly his weight's too far back as well.

If it is the right arm and not necessarily the wedge coming through, what is the fix? Maintaining pressure points?

To get better contact (I wear bi or trifocals) I am trying to get the habit of waggling the club in such a way that my muscles measure the position of and distance to the ball. I also think, "Hit the back of the ball on the third groove." :))

You need to get your weight to your left foot. Either you are moving back on the backswing and staying there during the downswing (moving the swing bottom to before the ball) or certainly straightening out the rigth arm to soon.

My guess however would be that your getting stuck on your right side (if you are a righty). Try and stay over the ball during the backswing and focus on getting your weight to your left side during the downswing.

Ive been practicing the flying wedge drill. Man never felt contact so good. Also i noticed at address my hands were level with the ball, i have moved them slightly in front and i am starting to feel that same awesome contact. Thanks
