Please dont bash me for sneaking a cold one on the course. Times are hard lately. And I know I aint the only one. Im just sick of the bags if ice dripping all over and giving me away and getting my putter grip wet. I dont walk very frequently but I would like a stand bag with cooler built in. Does anyone here have one they love, how many cans of "soda" can you fit in it etc etc.. Thanks.

I've been checking out bags recently myself. If a big cooler is your priority, then check out the Callaway Org. 14 Xtreme Cart Bag. The entire right side pocket is a cooler. You could probably hold a 12-pack in there I would think.

I know you'd prefer a stand bag, but since I've been shopping for a cart bag, I can't comment on what stand bags are out there.

Callaway 14 Stadium bag can fit half a bag of ice, and a 12 pk of bottles or cans with no problems. I love it. Cuban sandwich, 2 beers and 3 water bottles and Im set for 36 holes. Doesnt get anything wet, but it does make my grips feel a little cold. In this heat, that doesn't last long before I have to hit the shot.

*it even has a little hole in the bottom so it drains all the water out of the cart so it doesn't get overly heavy.

If you want a stand bag look at the Nike SQ Tour Carry. I can fit two Pint sized bottles of water in the cooler pocket, then I carry another 22oz on the sleeve outside the cooler pocket...

Thanks guys. I have a cart bag now and its fine. Like I said I rarely walk. Really only on one course here on the north shore do we ever walk. I realize with the stand bags Id get a smaller cooler. I like bigger bags. And shoot I used to caddy in the 80s when ALL The bags were heavy leather, before graphite and titanium.
Anyone ever retrofit a stand onto a cart bag? I dont think itd be that hard. Maybe Ill buy a standbag from goodwill and scavenge the stand and macgyver myself what I want if the manufacturers of golf equipment wont

2 beers ? you'd probably lower your handicap if you packed another few in there, lol

Another vote for the sq tour carry. Not too heavy, good straps, individual slots and cooler fits an icepack and two gatorades.

I like being hydrated dont get me wrong. But I can drink water and gatorade at just below boiling point if need be. I could give a isht if the water or gatorade is warm. Its the beers I need to keep chilly. lol

And my favorite beer is Alotathem. So a little more room would be nice. I do appreciate the advice though. Ill take a spin through Roger Dunn and see which ones they have that are listed here.

LOL I dont like to drink a bunch during the round. Ill put em down afterwards tho. I got into a fight (shoving match, no fists) with a friend on the 17th green becasue he started kicking my ass after I got drunk....and I lost some money. No more drinking a bunch on the course.

No fighting bro. I did throw a club at the cart the other day. i was a wee bit drunk on the 16th and had no pakalolo that day and shot about 15 over what I thought I would shoot that day. Gotta have some of dakine when I play. Keeps me mellow and focused too.

Maybe you shouldn't be drinking while golfing if this what happens. I understand the art of getting drunk, but if you cant make it 18 holes then maybe golf shouldn't be your priority. I'd hate to be the lady or kid on the receiving end of your 5 iron after 20 beers and you miss the cart. Just sayin. I would not be bragging about your poor ability to handle your liquor or your poor ability to maintain some level of self control.

You're 100% right. I'm still ashamed and trying to redeem myself with the guys I was playing with. NOT COOL. Noone was near the cart tho. Course was empty. You're also right about golf not being my sport. Hockey is. Or was. And if I did that on the ice I'd be penalized and benched by any decent coach and equally embarrassed.

So if I may offer a suggestion, instead of looking for a bag with a huge cooler, why not give an honest go at golfing. Utilize the course and its natural beauty as a way to cool down, relax and enjoy life. Trust me, I am as big a beer drinker as you, but lately I have been using golf as an elixer. If you make a conscious decision to enjoy your round and when you feel like getting frustrated stop and control yourself you will find the game much more enjoyable for you and those you play with. Then you wont feel like drinking or atleast that much because you will find the potential in your game, not magnify the flaws like you do now. Maybe then you might even concentrate on getting better because of it.

My Titleist Premium Stand Bag (that's what it's called in the US) has a decently sized cooler pocket that can fit 3 to 4 cans of soda. I usually use a water bottle thats taller than 2 cans of soda and still have a bit of room left.

Actually I can use a few beers when my game is going south....they help relax! I once "gave up" on the 9th bcs my score was outrageous I think I played 59 on the front 9, got upset...downed 2 or 3 beers between 10th and 13th, and leveled out my score ....by the 18th I ended up with 109. I did throw a club ...to the ground, bounced back and got me in the nads...Last time I threw a club!

AS a Disclaimer...I threw the club on the ground....not in any horizontal or vertical direction.....before I get a bunch of complaints from my post.

As for the bag...it's cart bag...the Bag boy 2009 Pro Divider....It has a cooler on the front of the bag....$150 on TGW, or the Cally 14 Org bag...the entire side is a cooler!
It's the indian, not the arrow! But it sure is nice to have good arrows!!!!!
