I know the quality is not very great, but we are in the middle of buying a house and our HD cam is packed up. I also dont know how to make a copy of it in slow-mo. So hopefully from this angle you guys can help me out. Thanks in advance.

Not sure what the question is, but to me it looks like you are using all arms and hands and not really using your body like you should. I'm no expert though!

Your lower body is very slow to rotate/doesn't rotate through enough and causes your shoulders to stop, also. This all causes your arms to go up instead of around and gives you the dreaded right spin. In short, I'd say its a classic case of "hitting at the ball"

could you put up a face on view?
It's hard to tell anything from a DTL view

as said before you don't rotate enough.

You don't make a proper follow through either.

don't try change anything yet.

If you go to the range thinking "rotate my shoulders more" "follow through more" your just going to mess up. I'd say go get a lesson or two and work on it with a pro.

Try to get your back perpendicular to the target line - a lot of leg and body movements will just sort of happen along the way to that position. Speaking of hands and arms though, they seem to be working well - you're not too far away (in my layman's opinion) from a great swing.

I was just meaning to get a different angle for the video.. I dont wanna do anything drastically till I have a good idea what to fix. I was actually thinking about a lesson or 2 or more lol..

And Thanks Sean

Your backswing is WAY too flat, and makes you come WAY over the top. Thus, slice. Also, you are flipping through impact instead of keeping your hands in front of the ball.

get your belt buckle facing the target!!! get the weight to the left side!!!

Thats great to know. Now here is another question... Is there anyway to fix that by myself or should I just get lessons?

how does coming back flat cause a person to come OTT?

It's the opposite. Billiam don't listen to that. Put up a face on view. How can you tell that he has a flip from a DTL view?

With video and experience, you might not need lessons. How much time have you got?

Someone may have said this but you're coming over the top causing you to hit across the ball.

Think of swinging around your body on an axis and keep the hands a little lower and inside on the backswing, instead of up and down.

You're swing has a V shape and you want your swing to be more of a circle....

Can I ask what is coming over the top?

I thought it was when you bring the club up too steeply from an out-in swing path?

Can I ask what is coming over the top?

That's not what it is?

Every book on the swing I've read says to keep the hands low and inside to promote a flatter backswing so you swing "in to out" and not "out to in" In to Out helps you hit behind the ball causing more forward spin or spin left to right if you want a draw. A slice would be spinning from right to left correct?

A slice is a shot that starts right and keeps going right.
A fade is a shot that starts left and goes right.
That is caused by a out-in swing path.

it's the opposite for a draw.

the guy is not far off on his swing plane from address to impact, if at all.

Maybe its steep(can't tell unless he gets face on) but its not coming over the top.

    • I have had the flu recently which gave me plenty of time to pore over Joseph Mayo’s instagram. I have hit a ton of shots each day on carpet and a little started how easy this shot is to make. Key thought for me is bring the club “no closer to the earth.” That really resonated with me. If I really steepen the attack angle I can hit my 58* lob wedge barely an inch or two off the ground and a repeatable distance. I don’t recommend this but tried it to what the end ranges are for angle of descent. I actually think a 62*-64* wedge might be even better for this shot.
