The naivity of your posts.

I never and repeat NEVER lie about my game! That's the last thing I would do! I also never cheat and I'm not big on the Mulligan I shoot legit terrible rounds and just recently began a practice regimen.

If you're going to aim for something, might as well aim high. If you don't make it to scratch in a year, so what. You'll still be much better than you are now.

Focus on course management and the short game. Keep yourself out of trouble off the tee. And as Ray Floyd says, 'never follow a bad shot with a stupid shot'. Keeping your focus while playing is a big part of it also. Get a shot you can repeat and play with it.

Good luck.

Aiming high should mean taking a view of what is reasonably achieveable and then add a couple more shots for good measure.

Black Hulk. I'm a patient person. Will you tell us what plan you are going to implement, what considered handicap you are going to aim for and keep us up to date about what happens.

Whether you improve by 4 shots or 8-10 there is no shame in it. If you don't get the time to implement your plan or go beyond it it would be interesting to know. No two golfers are the same but what I find intriguing is how the pressure you put on yourself and the knowledge of this committment would drive your game forward.

After all what a lot of us probably lack is that real drive to improve even if we are perfectly capable of doing so.

The name Dustin Johnson comes to mind. What a great game he had until then.

I like the OP's attitude. A true attitude of a succesful person. I say keep that determination, and put it into action. Maybe not scratch but you will be moving towards your goal with no fear, and thats the most important thing IMO.
