I play TP Blacks and I have played a sleeve of Pentas.

I feel like the ProV family is a little harder feeling as a whole and a touch longer ball. But, I prefer the Blacks or the Pentas from 150 yards and in. I also get a higher ballflight with the Blacks than a ProV which helps with irons. The only drawback of the TP Black, for me, is that the higher ballflight occasionally gives me issues with wind that I don't have with a ProV1.

Current Gear Setup: Driver: TM R9 460, 9.5, Stiff - 3W: TM R9, 15, stiff - Hybrid: Adams Idea Pro Black, 18, stiff - Irons: Callaway X Forged 09, 3-PW, PX 5.5 - SW: Callaway X Series Jaws, 54.14 - LW: Callaway X Series Jaws, 60.12 - Putter: PING Redwood Anser, 33in.

jumped into TM black. not sure why but scores were not too great. fed up last week and shot 82 then a 79 but I had switched back to the pro V1. I am retired so I don't play on weekends. Let the guys who work have the course on the weekend. Will see what happens in Monday league/
