1) PW when there is room for the ball to roll. Move it forward or back in stance to control trajectory.

Basically same with me, but I like using my putter from off the green more than most people. I never really got into using a 60* wedge, I can do everything with my 56* wedge that I could with a 60 *.

I putt too for anything with less than 5 feet of fringe/fairway and no obstruction in the way.. Sometimes I'll even Texas wedge it from farther than that if it feels right.

10 feet is too far away for my liking. You should give some others clubs a go to see how it works out.

Just off the green I will typically us my 52*. Further off the green I would use my 56* or 60* just depends on the lie.

G10 irons 4-PW(white dot) steel shaft (Stiff Flex)Oil can 52* wedge Spin milled 56* & 60* wedgesHalf Craz- E B belly putter SG 3.5golf balls

I use my 60 for every shot around the green except maybe a situation where I have a bunker shot all the way across the green and I need to get a little bit more loft behind it. Occasionally I'll run a 7 iron or PW but very rarely.

Career Bests:

9 Holes--37 @ The Fairways at Arrowhead-Front(+2)

18 Holes--80 @ Carroll Meadows Golf Course(+9)

Home Course:

1) The Fairways at Arrowhead

2) Mayfair Country Club

I use my old Wilson JP almost exclusively unless the lie/fringe/angle etc is conducive to the putter.

Anything from a 7 iron to my 58 depending on how much air time I need compared to roll out.

Having said that I am using my 64 more and more around the green to flop it on with no roll, and it's been working quite nicely.

Big Bertha 3 Wood
Big Bertha 3-10 IADAMS Tom Watson Classic 54,58 and 64 Wedges Nike Oz 5 Putter/Wilson Staff ( not sure model, bought it in second hand store ) Ball: Bridgestone E6

    • Great advice from Newhart. IMO unless there is a serious mechanical flaw most have the ability to will themselves to a consistent tempo.
    • Be happy Tiger is not playing. 😄 Not that he gets as much attention lately as before, but focus on him has ground a lot of gears through the years.

    • No. EE is almost never a matter of just willpower. Making the changes you need to make — at the right speed, the right way, etc. — can be a matter of willpower. The actual moves involved in EE? No. Most people EE because they must in order to hit the ball with the other stuff they have going on in their swings.
    • I've actually been thinking about this @iacas do you think this can apply to the left butt moving forwards and back to prevent early extension? Just force yourself to do it?   For the record - I often overswing when I feel the need to feel my left arm crossing my torso and against my chest. I stop the back swing when I feel the left arm totally adducted across the chest which is way too long
