I've been using the same wedges since the last millennium (Carbite Checkmate) and I wore these things out a loooong time ago. All of my golf equipment is pretty old but haven't really had a desire to update until now. I love my wedges they're just unplayable now. I had to check if they were still making clubs but does anyone have any experience with the newer wedges from Carbite? Just looking for recommendations I can check out.

I will say this.. Vokey, Cleveland, Taylormade, Mizuno, Callaway are pretty darn good but you should go out and try some out. Look at the way the set up is at address and then go from there. Also bounce options are always handy.

Personally I use titleist vokeys and I think they are far better than any other wedges on the market at the moment. They are quite easy to generate backspin and have a range of lofts and bounces to suit the conditions in which you play.

I know a lot of people who would say the same thing about the Cleveland CG15's as well.

Wedges are all about what feels right. I'm in love with my cheap Snake Eyes forged wedges, to me they feel better than the CG14's I was playing and that makes all the difference out on the course. Go try out a few, there will be one or two that just feel right to you, and those are the ones you should buy.

I personally think that Cleveland CG 12's and even the old 588 RTG's are some of the best wedges ever made, and that Vokeys are both overrated and overpriced. That said, I agree with Bullitt5339...it's all about what works best for you. And what works best for you might be something completely different.

I'll put in another vote for the 588's. There's a rack of 53* 588's at my local shop for $60...I might pick one up just for fun.
