Got my 1st eagle today. I have only had about 6 birdies ever (one of them also this same round). My drive went short about 200 yards and had 160 yrds to the middle of the green. Hit a solid 6 iron, lost it in the air, than saw it land on the green and drop into the hole. Best feeling ever, shot my lowest 9 holes of 38 and lowest total 18 of 83.

I've gotten 1 on a par 5 as well but a prefer the one on the par 4.

Congrats.... I almost got my 1st Eagle on a short Par 4 on Friday. Hit driver which rolled up on the green to 12ft, and then missed the putt....

I retire my best shot on a shelf in my room. My last one was 80 yrds with a sand wedge for birdie. That ones going down, and this one is going up.

Nice! I remember my first...hit a 45 ft putt with no chance, and it happened to find its way in. I still have that ball in my display rack on my wall.

I was thinking the same thing. I said that to my room mate and he kept saying "2 shots isnt 1" but i agree it is essentially the same. I wish it was a hole in 1 lol.....one day.

Sweet !! Got my first and only eagle on a par 4. Hit the driver 250 yards and then an 80 yard pitch shot right into the cup ( no bounce just directly into the hole). Gives you the best feeling ever

Congrats! That is awesome.

I holed out once from the fairway, but I didn't see it go in. I thought it was stiff, but when I walked up to the green I didn't see a ball, so I figured it had gone over. While I was trudging around in the woods behind the green looking for it, one of the guys in my foursome yelled "Hey, there's a ball in the cup."

Since that day, whenever I walk up onto a green and don't see my ball there, the first place I look for it is in the cup (though of course it has never happened again).

I'm a long hitter so I've had a decent number of eagle putts (and short chips) but haven't yet got it done.

That is how us normal people score... put a good series of holes together but then stick a couple blow-up holes with 7's and 8's on the card. Us mid-cappers just can't seem to make it all come together for 18 straight holes.
