Do you think a Par 3 Golf Couse can be as difficult as regular course?

I myself have a hard time on a Par 3 because I'm usually in between clubs. It's frustrating.

Sometimes they are MORE difficult because accuracy counts more than how long you are off the tee.

I think easier because it is just like a par 4,5 but when its time for the irons, it is on a tee, therefore much easier to hit it.

of course they can, it depends on what the best part of your game is, if you are long and straight off the tee but not so accurate with your irons then youre going to have a harder time on a Par-3 course as on a regular course you'll more than often have wedges/short irons into a green whereas these will be longer on a par-3 course

Being "between clubs" shouldn't be that big of a deal. For me, my clubs have 10-15yard gaps, depending on how I am hitting the ball that day. All things being equal I hit my clubs + or - 5 yards from what I expect. You toss in slope, wind and where you want to miss and you would have to hit your irons very well to have to worry about being between clubs.

If you are a "36" capper, then when in doubt grab the longer club unless there is good reason why you wouldn't want to be short

This Par 3 I play has rough greens, and the fairway is like hitting off a parking lot.

I feel you! The Par 3 around where I live is pretty tough. Small greens and very angular holes. It's a challenge for sure.

Some well designed par 3 courses are spectacular and difficult.
The Par 3 18 holer at Grand National--a Robert Trent Jones Trail course is great and can be very challenging from the tips. Huge undulating greens with elevation changes will present interest to any golfer.

Overall I prefer the standard courses which force me to pull all the clubs in my bag. But a good par 3 if fun too.

As to the question their difficulty is about equal.

Depends upon the course. Ive played some par 3s that are much more difficult than a fullsize course. It just depends what the hole layouts and where the trouble is. I personally think that a par 5 is easier than a par 3 simply because you have 2 more shots to get the ball in the hole.
On a par 5 if you can hit a 250 yard tee shot and a 200 yard shot from the fairway, you will either be on the green or have a shot little pitch shot onto the green. With a par 3, if you dont hit the green with you tee shot, you have to really scramble and pull off some short game magic (or awesome putting) in order to make par.

Harder for me as well, most of them aren't in my approach shot length so I'm always adjusting and trying to ease it up instead of trying to swing smooth with 3/4 or 1/2 power swing...I've yet to get the hang of that

I find the local par 3 easy enough but it depends on the length of the hole. 200 yard par 3s are not easy at the best of times.

If you're between clubs wouldn't it be easier to tee up 5 -7 yards back of the tee markers, then hit the longer club? I believe rules-wise you are allowed to do that, unless i'm mistaken.

Love my local Par 3 course for short game and putting work. Take my son over a couple times each week to have some fun. If your short game is not good, then a Par 3 can be a bear. Then again, you'll have roughly the same shots on a Par 71/72 course, plus the longer shots, so that either adds or subtracts from the frustration level (if your long game is fairly sound).

Ahh, ok, so about 2.5 yards using a 46" driver as a club length

I would say it has the chance at being easier depending on the course. The par 3 right by my Apt is not difficult distance wise (100 yards being the longest hole) BUT the entire front 9 is essentially protected by water. The greens have sand traps around them and it could be a tough 9 or 18 if you don't get it together and continue to take penalty's.
