I normally play the ProV1X. I was given a dozen Nike One Tour (Red box) and I was wondering how the two compared just so I had some idea what to except when I put them in play for the first time.

I played both today and I really liked the Nike ball. The titleist was too much for me and had too much sidespin for my driver and such. The Nike worked pretty good for me and it had a scuff on one side of it. I liked it a lot and it worked great getting on the green and sticking pretty well.

Well, one is the number one ball in golf (Titleist), and the other isn't (Nike)

One will leave you close to the pin for birdie (Titleist), the other will leave you somewhere OB (Nike) One will drive 290+ yards down the center of the fairway on an easy swing (Titleist), The other would be lucky to drive pass the ladies tees (Nike) One has won more majors and tournaments than all others combined (Titleist), the other is played by a washed up has been golfer (Nike) So there you have it, but seriously both balls are about the same, and since you're not a pro you won't be able to tell the difference, so have fun playing both and enjoy your round

Rudy,

I haven't played the newest Pro V1x as much as the Nike balls, but for me driving distance was very similar among all three. If forced to rank all three for distance I would say One Tour D, Pro V1x, One Tour from longest go shortest. Same order for driver spin, least to most.

If I were ranking wedge spin and putter softness, I'd say One Tour, Pro V1x, One Tour D, from most to least. I prefer the Pro V1x here. It feels ever so slightly less "clicky" than the Nike balls, without being mushy. Really hard to describe.

Probably not to be believed.

My reasoning? The prov1x has a higher spin rate than the prov1. We all know titleist markets the prov1 as a higher spinning ball. Not to mention anyone who has even tried both the balls. They are very very different as far as spin and feel go. Must be wrong.

Best 9 holes: 35 (Trilogy at Redmond Ridge, 3163y, Par 35/70, 70.0/131)
Best 18: [b]77[b] (Palm Valley CC, 6545y, 71.4/126)
Notable career achievement: I have NEVER four-putt.

It's true, you're not a professional golfer, and I wasn't trying to be rude

Im not a pro, I can very well tell a difference between them.

I seriously doubt that you can, when known professional golfers cannot

    • Lemme guess….’ We don’t want any confrontation so nobody says anything.’ Sheesh…..Call him out and fix the problem.
    • Went to a PING fitting day today. Going to be ordering a G430 Max 3w with a 75g x-stiff shaft at 5w length and a 3h. I forget what my fitter did with the shaft on that but she told me she’s going to email the club the specs of everything. The 3w combination we found pretty quickly. As for the hybrid, we tried a bunch of different head and shaft combinations for that distance with mixed results. Then she handed me the 3h and I took three swings with it and knew it was the one.
    • Yeah, this isn't sandbagging. It's outright cheating. He should be banned.
    • That’s quite a generalization. It’s clear that you don’t like water but there are plenty of us that drink it just fine. My daily intake is usually about 20oz of black coffee, 16oz of soda, 8oz of milk mixed into a protein shake, and anywhere between 30-60oz of water. It doesn’t even need to be cold and I kind of prefer it closer to room temperature than cold. I quite like the taste of tap water, with sole exception being the tap water at Magic Kingdom (it’s terrible). I can’t stand when people bring me tap water with a lemon wedge in it. I didn’t ask for lemon in my water.
    • This is the part I don’t get. He’s not even kind of sandbagging, he’s blatantly doing it and submitting scores that are verified to be incorrect. How he’s not banned from competition is beyond me.
