Bogey, Bogey, Par, Quintuple Bogey, Double Bogey, Par, Par, Par, Birdie

Once again, one over through 7, 7 over through 2..

Greatest tee shot ever, pull pop up drive that got taken by the wind and actuall got pushed backwards into OB. Dropped a ball, I hooked a 4i OB, Dropped a ball, than duffed chip, sculded a chip slightly, jacked a chip over the green again, fun fun

Classic round, really good for 7 out of the 9 holes..

Staying away from those huge numbers can just be a matter of collecting yourself after the first poor shot. It's more than just one poor shot to make more then a double or triple.

Me and my friend call it a "pentabogie", but that's beside the point. That's probably one of the toughest things to do in regaining composure after that first bad shot to prevent a blowup hole, I know that's what I've been working on. At least you know that you have the potential to score well.

Hey, give me my scorecard back! I know how frustrating that is. I'm really bad about letting that first ugly shot mess up a entire hole. Been doing better lately, but it still gets to me.

I played two days ago and on the front nine tripled the second and fourth, birdied the ninth, parred the rest for a 41. On the back nine I had a double and two bogeys with 5 pars for a 81. It is just ironic that I can shoot 8 over on three holes and 1 over on 15 holes, but I learned a long time ago that it I am playing golf and to try to make the best of it. On Tuesday I made the best of it and its going to happen. After the fourth, I really just wanted to start over.

Ah, the joys of playing golf with a handicap higher than 6 but lower than 15.

Keep at it, most of our rounds are like you described more often than not and just differ in matters of degree. It's those times when you can minimize the blow ups or avoid them altogether that you really end up with a great round.

I played 9 the other day after work: par-par-par-par-birdie through 5 holes, then scored a double, an 8 on a par 5, and then par-par on the last two. End result was a 40, just like any other day. At least it would've been a 39 for handicap purposes!

It seemed like you imploded after the nice tee shot that went OB and then hit the 4i which caused you to lose all of your focus which took another hole to get back. Golf is such a tough game because frustration can and will destory your game. At least you were able to get it back to go P, P, P Birdie.

We all go through it and just get em' next time. Did you only play nine holes? If not, what did you shoot?

well the drive didn't bug me much, i found it kinda interesting that the ball actually started to travel backwards in the air. really the next shot wasn't that hard, i just for the first time in about a year actually hooked a ball, which shocked me. It was the shot after that, the duff chip, just pisses me off.

Sorry, the great drive was sarcasm. It was actually quite strange, i am impressed i can do that with a 3-wood.
