Tom Slighter www.slightergolf.com ) ... there are a lot of examples of his work on his web site. I have not purchased a putter from him, but am thinking of having him do some work on a putter this winter. I hear a lot of good things though in this and other forums.

Have you thought about the Cameron Shop? www.scottycameron.com

They refurbish clubs for like $110 and you get all sorts of options. I haven't tried it yet thanks to my Pro Platinum finish that never seems to wear out, but it looks cool and I'd do it if I needed to.

I thought of mentioning them, but I believe they'll only restore the original finish. It's worth a look anyway.

Within a range of choices, you can specify whichever finish you'd like. I sent in a black coronado that came back platinum.

Changing finishes may not be _restoration_ but it is something they can do at the Cameron shop.

Slighter would probably be your best bet. Hve heard very good reports about him from other sites.

As far as I know, and from what I've read, the Custom Shop will restore top the original finish, or re-finish in pro platinum if you request it. That could be an option for you unless you're dead set on Black Oxide, they do a fantastic job (see the putter in my sig) and they'll restore it and give you a COA as well.
