To stick around and shoot 110 and 113 the last two days and get in everyone's way seems pretty classless.

and remeber that there are 3 stages...well now 4.

people with various degrees of status on either the nationwide tour or top merit earners on tours like the Canadian Tour usualy get to start in on the 2nd stage (depending on their play the year before etc ofcourse)

so the chances of a ex pga level pro (whos now on the nationwide) getting paired with one of these types of participants is relatively small.

plus again his future applications will be rejected. and since he can remain an amateur now, he doesnt have to be stuck stinking up smaller tour pro events because he had to forfeit his amateur status once he applied to q school.

I heard of a guy that has played in about 10 Q-Schools once. He never broke 90 and used several different names and faked identities to do it. So I wouldn't count on his not playing again... particularly if it was the same guy.

what can u do. you're always gonna have guys who will do whatever it takes to play in a higher caliber event.

youd have a point if he had played 10 q schools and never broke 90, but under his own name every year.

given that he has to jump thro some serious hoops, id say the policy is working. plus hes banished to the pre qualifer stage only now, even if he fudges for next year.

plus the PGA will gladly continue to take his $2500.00 yearly "donation" ;)

Hah! Two months ago, I made the mistake of remarking that I hadn't shot over 90 yet this year. Guess what, now I can't say that anymore.
