I got a set of old Wilson 1200 LT's from the early to mid 80's and I found a great deal on a set of MP-57's. Are the MP-57's harder to hit that the Wilsons or are they about the same? I dont have much trouble hitting the Wilsons but I do have miss hits. Should I get the Mizunos?

The only way for YOU to know is for YOU to go out and hit them.

Here's a Sandtrap review: http://thesandtrap.com/clubs/mizuno_mp-57_irons_review

You won't get hurt financially getting a good deal on these. If you don't like them you could easily resell them.

The set I found is for $250. Is that about what these normally go for?

If you feel comfortable with your 20+ year old set, then keep them. Clubs have evolved over time so you may see a significant improvement with playability and forgiveness with current sets. I'd at least go out to your local golf course when they have their club demo days and try a few sets just to get a feel for what's out there now.

A set of Mizuno MP-57 (3-PW) for $250 is a great deal. The lowest price I've seen a used RH set go for is around $350. And yes, Mizunos are great irons but that's a matter of personal preference. You'll need to decide whether the MX or the MP series irons are better suited to your game.

I guess it would be like comparing a Ford Pinto with a Lexus ES 450. The Mizunos would be a great buy just for the investment purpose.
