Hey guys,

I'm starting a Dynasty Fantasy Football league this year and am hoping someone here is interested in joining. It will be 16 teams, and the draft will go like 26 rounds. It's not for the faint of heart! It's a very deep league, and all your players will carry over into next season and beyond. Each summer there will be a four round rookie draft. Trading your players or draft picks is a part of the game, as are waiver wire transactions.

Some general scoring settings:

1 point per 20 yards passing
4 points per pass TD
1 point per reception
1 point per 10 yards rush/rec.
6 points per rush/rec/return TD

I'm debating with myself whether I want to award points for return yards, but that's something all the league owners can debate once it fills up. Right now, we're at 5 of 16 members.

This definitely isn't your normal fantasy football league. It's something that I hope you'd be apart of for the next few seasons at least, but if you'd like to quit, you can at any time during the offseason. I will just have to find someone to take over your team if you decide to leave.

The league is being hosted on Yahoo, and it is free, but my hope is that it will be very competitive. I actually do a ton of high stakes fantasy football, but I can still compete and have a lot of fun doing free leagues too. Also, it's obviously very difficult to charge people for Dynasty, especially over the net, so I'm not even going to go there.

If you'd like to bring your A-Game and join a 16-team Dynasty League, go to Yahoo fantasy sports.

LEAGUE ID : 372023
PASSWORD : football

Thanks again for reading this and hopefully we can lock horns on the fantasy gridiron for many seasons to come.

Wow, that was quick. Glad I posted this on here now. Welcome to the league! For as long as I've done re-draft and high buy in fantasy football, I've never done a dynasty draft before, so this is really exciting for me. Hopefully our teams don't suck!

Just a quick update on my Dynasty league. Right now, we have 11 of 16 owners. I can only vouche for 4 of these guys including myself as far as character goes since the rest are just internet randoms. I can't guarantee that this league will be successful, even though that's my obvious goal. The draft is going to be 26 rounds, so I understand if people don't feel like main-lining that much fantasy football directly to the blood stream. However, if there's someone out there fired up for a really deep Dynasty league, this is definitely the set-up you're looking for. My hope is that this league lasts for 10+ seasons. Fingers crossed.

PS- Note that you don't have to stick around for my goal of 10+ seasons. Anyone can leave the league in the off-season; I just need enough time to find a replacement owner to run their team.

    • Day 64: Priroty piece work with 7-iron, half swings, plus 10 Almost Golf balls with driver, full swings. 20 balls each chipping pitching.
    • I've been really happy with my game dispite not playing a tonne this year.    My two biggest weaknesses have had turn arounds. Driving and chipping has got much better. Used to slice my driver terribly every time, but managed to not hit 1 bad slice today. Chipping has just started to turn around, only mishit one from a weird lie where I didn't commit to the shot. Of 8 rounds this year, two in the 80s, three below 95, and only one over 100 (with horrible greens).    Just got to work on trying to at least go to the range once or twice a week for some consistency. Hit I think 4 really bad miss hits, and was a little slow starting with 3 or 4 mini slice/hooks with irons on the first few holes. Still much more good than bad shots, but more practice should get that good swing happening more and more frequently.
    • I definitely have a better outlook on BD after watching his YouTube channel and his appearances on Grant Horvath’s channel. He’s an odd character but he loves the game and is considerably more entertaining than Scheffler and many other PGAT players. I do however continue to see Koepka as a total douche.    I’m pulling for Rory but won’t be disappointed if BD wins. It’s just a damn shame he’s with LIV.
    • Day 44. (15 Jun 24) - took yesterday off (was on the road all day, home after midnight kind of thing). Today was back to it - played local course as a solo.  Played one of my fave formats of rotating thru the tee boxes - adds dimension to the approach game.  Best part of the day was the wedge play with a first ever hole out eagle on the par 5 13th hole.  Drive was tight to the left needing a punchy iron to get back to the center of fairway.  Left about 80yds to the flag, figured an easy GW would leave me close for a birdie putt.  Caught it solid and watched it one hop into the hole….over all a good day of working on the game.
    • As @iacas wrote “This applies to golf, too. Relentlessly chip away at whatever you’re seeking to change. It’ll add up over time in a big way.”  Have to say my work on key points is seeing consistent results -  slowly chipping away at a better approach game, leading to more GIR and nGIR which makes for easier pars and more up and downs.
