Just bought on eBay a Callaway FT-5 Tour Fusion (Fade) Stiff Fujikura Vista Pro 70
for 60 bucks and I'm excited and can't wait to hit it.
Switching from my X460 to get a stiffer shaft (haha very funny)
but it was cheaper than buying just a shaft and having mine reshafted

Anyone else play this? What are your thoughts on it? How's it play?

That seems very cheap

Is it real?

I have seen some great copies

Taylormade RBZ 10.5 driver, Taylormade Burner 2.0 15 deg 3 wood, Mizuno JPX800 19deg hybrid, Taylormade Burner 2.0 4-PW, Titleist Vokey 52,56,60 rusty wedges, Odyssey White Ice #7 360gm tour weight, Bridgestone B330S

That seems very cheap

Who would bother copying an FT-5 now? Didn't it come out in 2005?

In the blue Colts bag:

Driver - FT-5 10°
Hybrids - 4DX 15.5°, 20°
Irons/Wedges - CI-7 4-GW, SW | "Free" Warrior 60° LWPutter - TiffanyBalls - various

I'm starting to see FT-5s go for $60-70 in the area, so that price shouldn't raise a red flag. I had an FT-5, very solid driver with lower spin and nice mid trajectory.

Haven't found a Callaway driver I've liked yet...just my personal opinion. I've tried several and I've tried really hard to like them, but in the end I just don't hit them as well as I hit others. Recently got rid of my FT-5 iMix and got a TaylorMade Burner SuperFast and I LOVE it!!
In My Bag ( Superlight 3.5):

Driver: 9.5* Burner SuperFast, Matrix Ozik XCon 4.8 Stiff
Fairway Woods: Steelhead III, Uniflex Steel (3w, 5w)
Hybrids: Big Bertha Heavenwood 4H, Uniflex SteelIrons: Victory Red Full Cavity, Stiff (5-AW)Wedges: WALTER HAGEN,...

I had an FT-5 and could never get used to it. Its very loud and the trajectory wasnt for me.

That is my goal and if it feels anything like my x460, then it's a win win for me.

That seems very cheap

It is used, but in nice shape and the FT-5 has been on the market for some time. So I'm figuring that cost is about avg.

Distance and trajectory were very good for me. I couldn't get used to the sound though.

I bought an FT5 with Aldila DVS shaft for $47 from a guy on another site. GREAT driver. 3 people out of my regular foursome use the FT5. Great distance, forgiving and medium trajectory. It actually kicked the TM burner and Cobra LD out of my bag. I'll be using this driver for a long long time.

    • I'd just get the Stack Radar. I've never been totally comfortable with how it measures, those things. I think people put them in the wrong place. I think it's highly sensitive to where you swing… if you swing the tip end through the radar "beam" (it's not a beam, but you know what I mean I think), you get the true speed. But if you swing the spot 6" up the shaft through the beam, you get a much slower speed. For the wedge stuff alone I recommend the Stack Radar. Plus data entry is SOOO easy.
    • Does anyone else have the swing speed radar and had the experience of it going completely haywire? It’s been decent for me until the last 2 weeks. I’m now getting readings on back to back swings that are 20 mph off. I’m getting absolute garbage from it - I have to swing many times to get something close to right. The only thing that works (sometimes) is taking the batteries out. Here's the radar I'm talking about: Amazon.com : Swing Speed Radar - Achieve Longer Drives - Delivers Precise Golf Club Swing Speeds from 20 to 200 MPH. Master Consistency with Our US Made Doppler Radar Training Tool for Instant Speed Results : Golf Swing Trainers : Sports & Outdoors Thinking about just biting the bullet on a stack radar at this point.
    • Sorry, I missed your original post. Glad things are looking up with your wife's cancer. That's scary. Hope you can get back in to swing of things this year. I travel to Richmond quite a bit for son's soccer. I will reach out to see if we can get out together during one of the visits.
