Well, it finally hit me..just having a terrible time with every kind of swing. Skulling chips, fat pitches, no idea where my driver is going 90% of the time..hybrid used to be dependable but its become the same off the tee...my irons are SOMEWHAT ok but still hitting some horrific shots..tops, fats, wild slice, pull, luckily no S word, lol.

I have thought of many things and tried a lot of different "fixes" the past two weeks, but nothing has changed. So, what are some things you guys do when your game is just in a funk and it doesn't seem to be any one thing you're doing wrong, per se? How do you get back in the groove again?

My philosophy on golf "We're not doing rocket science, here."

Try your best to go back to basic fundamentals ---- posture, grip, alignment, etc.

This coming from a guy who shanked every single shot during a round a couple of years ago. I had zero confidence and couldn't wait until the round was over. You need some positive thinking before changing anything in your swing.

What helps me is to just take a week or two off. I stay away from anything golf - internet, driving range, take the clubs out of my truck, etc. I have found that by trying to work through funks at the range just makes it worse for me. I'm not a pro, the game doesn't pay my bills, so I can take some time away.

I just had the same problem, the last few weeks and I broke out of it Saturday. The biggest thing was I just stopped thinking. I stopped trying to analyze every swing and just hit the ball.

When I go through that I think -

"swing don't hit"

and making good contact rather than beating the cover from the ball
