yea it does. When reading scientific studies you take those results and use them (if you want) no matter if you did the experiement yourself or not. Plus it makes sense. Like I said the redwood does have a more consistent solid feel to me so I dont really know what your talking about.

Yeah you do.

because, (insert high end driver/putter/set or irons/wedges/woods) feels so (insert buzz term/phrase here), (buzz phrase #2), (buzz phase #3).

so the guys who freak over because I wanted a high end putter in my bag, check out this guys clubs

yeah and chances are if you ask him why he plays the clubs he does, his answer would probably be "cuz they're effin cool"

he wouldn't jabber off by writing out one buzz phrase after another trying to convince others that it "enhances" his feel and performance. we all know its all bull, especially when some mid handicapper goes on and on about how one putter "doesn't come off the face too hot". stop the bull, just say you bought it cuz its cool lol. you spend so much time it seems trying to convince others that your gear enhances you game...nobody cares about your game. you make thread after thread asking what the "best driver" is or what the best "3 wood" is...on and on... who cares what others think? When I see a thread like thsi from you, one thing comes to mind - you're just tryin to buy clubs that other people think are cool. play wat you will but you don;t have to try to convince everyone all the time why and how your clubs enhances your game. 99% chances are, its all bull and I can putt with a 80$ anser just as consistently as your redwood.

most of the time, i post asking questions about gear from peoples experience. You have to understand I didnt have any clubs prior to this summer when I started playing after 10 years. Everytime I post asking questions about gear or my experience with gear there are people like you who have a fit and it feels like I have to defend myself, you take it as I am trying to convince everyone how my clubs enhance my game. If you dont want to give a recommendation to someone who asks then dont post on the thread, We dont need a lecture or smart remarks.

I'm sorry, but you're being revisionist with your version of how your posts normally go. golfro is spot-on, and if you're playing clubs you want to play because you like 'em then that's great. But your "reviews" consist of buzz-words and generalities about how blades are better than cb's, or the advantages of a tour-driver, or why expensive putters are better-even when you admit there were no "hot spots" on your putter, or you get rid of your "tour" driver a week or two after espousing all its benefits on this forum. It's transparent, and they're not actually reviews, they're just compilations of stuff you read elsewhere on the internet.

first I never said blades are better than cavity backs. I said I liked the mp-32's and the way I was hitting them so I got them, you are revising it. I never made a general statement that they are better. I originally posted about the mp-32s expecting I was going to get some nice clubs comments etc from some folks but I got lectured to the bone by you and golfro about buying blades. If you dont agree with it ok but you dont have to give someone a lecture and smart remarks every chance you can. Second, i was having problems with that driver so I just wanted to try something new, a smaller head, not a tour driver. I never once said I wanted a tour driver, so again you are revising it. My benefits I said of the driver are the head is a classic shape and the size was good, I said I got alot of roll with it which I did. The problem was I couldnt get any flight out of it after a few weeks trying, I bought the driver blind; Again you are revising what I said. I never posted all these benifits, only thing I bosted about it was the head shape and size.

You're right-we made it all up. Whatever you say.

you did say you wanted a tour head that had a somewhat open club face...bc you were pulling and drawing all of your drives, and none of your other clubs...so you alone concluded that it MUST be the driver that doesnt have an open face.

you actually argued this against many who advised not going with a tour driver (smaller head, open club face). you insisted that it was your driver and you needed something open to keep from pulling or drawing your drives.

that bridestone doesnt have an open face man????? its square. I said I wanted a smaller head, I figured that might help and it did.

yeah but thats originally why you said you wanted a tour driver lol. because your square driver was causing pulls and draws that no other club in your bag was causing...

but okok, lets just drop it, this conversation is pointless.

your right its pointless. I know what I said, I never said I wanted a tour driver specifically. Just one with a smaller head. Problem is most drivers have 460cc nowadays so you almost have to get a tour driver, thats where your conclusion came from. Taylormade makes a few drivers under 460cc's though, not tour drivers either. So really, if you, maxpower and shades have a lecture or smart comment please dont post it in my thread. I dont do that to you guys and expect the same.

just sayin... you did say you wanted an open club face driver with a smaller head, which in translation is a tour driver.

PS. im not just pickin on you, i make smartass comments to alot of people :/

I bought the driver blind

Well that isn't very analytical or scientific.

Please link the "scientific" study on the cast/forged/milled putters and hotspots. I would like to read it.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
