I hit it yesterday, and the shaft snapped in half.

Only way you'll find out for sure is if you contact customer service.

Depends on which model you have. If it's the '07 model it's probably too old for them to care. But if you have the '10 SuperFast they probably will.

You might want to look at reviews for your particular driver and see if other golfers have complained about broken shafts. Sometimes if a manufacturer has an endemic problem with shaft breakage on a particular model they'll fix it for free regardless of age.

Call the Taylormade customer service, they would pretty much help out on it. I called them last week, and got my question answered.

I had an old TM Firesole that at the time was about a year old. The shaft snapped at the range during a normal swing. I had actually bought the club used. I called the local Edwin Watts and explained that I did not buy the club from them, but would they be so kind as to send it back for me, I of course would pay the shipping or whatever. The manager said that usuallly you send the club and $15 and TM would repair or replace and he'd be glad to send it back. When I took it to the store and gave him the $15, he just told me to get one off the rack (they still had some Firesoles) and that was that.

I would have to give Edwin Watts full marks for customer service!!

The same thing happened to my Cleveland driver. I took it to Edwin Watts and they sent it back. When I went to go pick it up then only charged me $6 for shipping. I was expecting to pay $90 for a new shaft. I was pretty happy.

I had the same issue several years ago with an older TM club. Likewise, I shipped it back to TM through my retailer and received it reshafted a few weeks later. Not too sure if they're still doing that now.
