He better bring a different putting game than he's had lately. He's not putting badly........ just not making many.

it would be exciting to see a Tiger getting hot, winning the BMW, and maybe even the final event before the Ryder Cup..might make some European players be like "Oh f*ck".

You mean the reaction I've been having to Luke Donald's hot play as of late?

Of course, Tiger on a hot streak is scarier than just about anyone else.

Yes I would love to see a circa 99-01 style win for Woods where he laps the field and puts everyone back on their toes. Total domination from start to finish.

Courses he dominated last year doesn't mean much since he's done horribly this year on courses he usually does well at.

Think those days are long gone. The field for the most part can keep up with Tiger even on his good days.

With that said I'm still rooting for Tiger. Hopefully AK can put together more than one good round this week.

Tiger will have to finish inside top 5 in order to advance to the Tour Championship. He can do it, but his swing is not fixed, so it won't be a gimmie. If he can put together 4 good rounds, he can do it.

I thought this thread is for BMW Championship. Gee... peoples. Why don't I see any words on real hot players like Luke Donald, Jason Day, Matt Kuchar, or someone else than Tiger? As wrx_junki said "... those days are long gone. The field for the most part can keep up with Tiger even on his good days".

I'm rooting for Rory McIlroy and Jason Day for the event.

Defending champ for this tournament, still the world #1, and still in it, why wouldn't Tiger's name come up in a thread titled "BMW championship"? I was watching the Golf Channel last night and they were replaying highlights from last year's BMW and all I could think was wow as I watched Tiger hitting one crazy good shot after another. There was one where he was in the rought with a huge tree several feet between him and the green and he just hit it right of the tree, it spun left and rolled up onto the green. The Tiger of old. Hope he gets his game back.

As a personable 22 year old having a great season, if Day's flag was a bit more "red, white, and blue, with stars and stripes" instead of "red, white, and blue, with stars and tiny union jack" he's all anyone would be talking about.

Have to agree....Jason Day is certainly living up to expectations...can't say enough about his recent performances.

you do realize he won by 8 strokes last year at the BMW?

of course last year Tiger and this year Tiger are vastly different...but on Tiger's good day, i don't think most can keep up at all.

So normally when i make Tiger prediction i´m dead wrong - but Tiger winning - what kind of booze are you guys on. Please sober up before you go to your bookie and bet the house. I dont care by how many strokes he won last year - this year is the present, and this is much different than any other year Tiger ever played. He can be happy making it to the finals and maybe keeping his #1 spot. If he drops out and Mickelson advances, even Mickelson cant screw up that bad to not overtake him.

BTW. is this the new game now - everybody´s calling Tiger out for the win on the next tournament, and everybody goes TOLD YOU SO HE IS BACK after the 10th attempt when he finally wins again?

i dont think its far fetched to see Tiger win... he's been playing fairly well the past few events with GREAT rounds, as well as terrible rounds. I think its a matter of him finding his consistency. We've all seen glimpses of Tiger playing extremely well and unfortunately glimpses of him playing absolutely terrible.

but to say Tiger has a chance to win BMW...why not? I think its only a matter of time at this point. People seem to exagerate Tiger's bad rounds because its Tiger, the guy who used to win rounds by double digit strokes ahead...but you look at this past few rounds and they're actually not bad. of course its not up to old Tiger's standards but he hasn't been playing terribly. Now...would i put money down that Tiger will win? No... but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if he did win. Also, I only brought up Tiger's last year BMW results because someone mentioned that most now can keep up with Tiger on his good days. I was just noting that it was only last year that he won by 8 strokes. Point was that on his good day, not a lot can keep up with Tiger at all.

he's finished T12 and T11 the last 2 weeks so his game is coming around, he's hitting fairways, he won by 8 last year with a 62, and he's the best in the world. he's winning

Hoffman won by 12 over Tiger with a final 62 this week (just mentioning it since everything non-Tiger seems to be forgotton rather quickly) - there are other people out there that can play well too, especially if they dont have to fear the KittyCat anymore.
