Should be about the same as when I cut down my B60 from 35 to 33". Now I'm not saying that it's right or wrong, I know it's gonna be lighter, but it should be what I'm used to.

I have heard this method, but it is surely risky to do the powder your self considering you wont know how much to put in. If your 'club guy' can't do the powder for you and look at the swingweight changes, then find another guy - there will be someone who can do it.

i have about 10 of my clubs gripped white. what ive learned is to use alcohol wipes ($3 at wal mart) after every 5 rounds or so. works like a dream. they look like brand new after a cleaning.

Thanks for the advice - Would going over it lightly with white spirit have the same effect?

What I Play:
Wilson Mini Stand Bag | PING G10, 10.5°, Proforce V2 HL S | PING G5, 15°, 18°, Aldila NV 75 S | PING G5, 19°, Aldila VS Proto By You 80 S
Mizuno MX200 4-PW S | Ping Tour W 50/12 X | Ping Tour W 58/TS X | A selection of putters, all 35.5 inches.

you could try, but im not sure.

i know for fact that the alcohol wipes works perfectly.
PING  G-15 (10.5*) Miyazaki C. Kua 39   ------   PING  G-15 (18.5*) Oban Revenge 6
PING  I -15 (20*) UST Attas Hybrid 285 -----
PING  I -15 (4-PW) AeroTech SteelFiber i80
PING  Tour -S (54*,60*)  TT DG Spinner ----- PING  Scottsdale Pickemup (33")

Can't you just cut it down, and slide a grip on to test it with no grip tape? It's not like you'll be swinging for the fences with a putter. I know the grip might move on an off center strike, but at least you'd be able to get a feel for some different grips and be able to change them out without destroying them. Then when you decide which feels best, install correctly.

In the bag
Driver: Tour Burner 10.5*
Fairway: Launcher 2009 17*
Irons: X-18r 4-SW
Gap Wedge: CG15 52*Wedge: X Tour 60*Putter: Crimson 550Ball: E5

i use a scotty cameron newport terylium 34 inches with standard original grip but i have 3 rolls of karakel badminton racket tape round the grip to make it really thick and comfortable

works a treat

try the new thick putter grips, about 1 - 1.5 inch thick.

i have changed recently and am putting better, it seems to take the tension out of your hands and relocates the load of the putter to your forearms and biceps.
it takes the influence of the tendons in your wrists out of the equation, which is a good thing IMHO (umm, -but i am not humble).
makes for a better pendulum action.

always give way to the Greenskeeper!!

in my bag:
whatever clubs i find left behind on the course... But the Ping Anser will never be beaten!!

BALL: only get off tractor for PRO v1's..... Now, which way to Q School???

My regular putter has a jumbo Winn AVS grip on it that I installed in June. When I put it on I had been putting really horribly, and I had my worst round of the year right after putting it on, but I think my putting stroke has gotten better. My hands are much more quiet, but statistically it hasn't translated into any dropped strokes.

The lefty putter that I just bought has a Golf Pride Tour grip on it. It's really slick and cracked, so I have to change that out. I was thinking of staying with a normal size grip, and looking at the selection at Golf Galaxy they had the Ping Blackout grip for $5, and the Scotty Cameron Studio grip for $15! Literally the same grip, both made by Golf Pride, but the Scotty name is worth $10. I'll probably go with the Ping.

In my bag:

Driver: Titleist TSi3 | 15º 3-Wood: Ping G410 | 17º 2-Hybrid: Ping G410 | 19º 3-Iron: TaylorMade GAPR Lo |4-PW Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo | 54º SW, 60º LW: Titleist Vokey SM8 | Putter: Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas H7

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Here is what I ended up with. It's a Maltby wrap made by Golf Galaxy. Not quite sure yet if I'll keep it on there but it was only $3.

Edit: I was going to post a picture but for some reason I cannot get it to work. I have tried image hosting and attachments. I did a very tedious search about posting pictures but never really found anything that helped. Anyone have a good step by step method for an almost computer literate user?

David

That's a nice looking grip..especially for $3.00 ...

.........In My Bag........
