I saw this a couple of weeks ago and extended his little motion by swinging with the right thumb completely off the grip (maybe even the forefinger). Anyone try this?

It felt like I was focused on the grip pressure of the 3rd and 4th fingers of the right hand more. Not sure if it promoted hands ahead of ball at impact more, but it felt like it.

Thread resurrection here, yes I do use the search function:

I was doing this today at the range and noticed immediately that my impact improved tremendously with the ball jumping off the face.  I believe that my forefinger and thumb had been taking over in the swing becoming what Hogan described as a swing wrecker.  Eventually I put the thumb and finger back on with light pressure.  The rest of the session just felt effortless.

It is a great way to stop the right hand from flipping just before impact.
