Where do you guys position your hands at address? And is there a correct way?

I was always told, once you take your stance to let your hands drop and simply hold the club. So my hands were behind my feet. But when I use anything below a five iron I felt really sweepy instead of a hit down on the ball feel I like with the smaller clubs.

Kind of like Ryan Moore at address, here's a vid to explain.

But I've been looking at some vids of Sam Snead and Ben Hogan and there hands are always further away than there feet (apart from wedge shots and higher loft irons)
Again another vid.

So which is more fundamentally sound so to speak. Or do you adjust your hand position depending on a particular ball flight you want? Hope I'm making sense here.

I find the best indicator is where you are balanced. If you lift your club up just off the ground at address and you fall forward than your hands are too far forward. I generally try to feel that I am perfectly centered (balanced) at address and try to maintain that throughout the swing. Any leaning forward or back during the swing takes away from quality ball striking. So, I don't really worry where my hands hang visually - I only care that it feels balanced.
