So pissed off

Most of the ranges I use are only mats now. There's still a month left of decent weather. Come on!

Rant over.

And no, I don't have access to the private courses. Bummer.

There are grass ranges in Pine Ridge (very good), Pine Hills, Spring Lake (meh) and Hamlet Windwatch (short game area too). These are the public courses.

Of course all the private courses have them, but they're private obviously.

If you want a grass range next year, you should be thankful they are shutting down now. It takes a lot to keep grass growing and healthy when the weather turns cooler, especially in the northern areas. If they keep letting people dig up the current grass, it won't grow back and you won't have a range next year.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

But there are many places in the area that still have their range open and they open for the season the same time as the others that close early.

These ranges have space to rotate areas for the grass to grow back. I think it's more of a cost savings decision.
