I've decided to get a newport 2 scotty but can't make my mind up on a style or select. I really like the feel of my red x which has the same Insert as the studio style but I also like the select too. Decisions decisions. Most people on here seem to love the studio selects, I would like to know peoples thoughts on the studio style please.

I like the feel of the studio select better, and I like the looks better. Also if you decide to send it into the shop for custom work you have more options with the studio select I believe. The last reason is a little bit more about appearance but that matters to a lot of people. Either choice, you will not be disappointed.

Can't go wrong with either one.

I went with a studio style. I love the insert, and that's about the only reason I chose it over the Select.

I would give a slight nod to the Select in the looks department, but their both gorgeous putters.

As for the custom work. I looked into sending mine in a short time ago and the options were plentiful. So, I'm not sure you can say SC offers more custom options in the Select model. I could be wrong, however.

Try each out and get what you like best. That's about the best advice I can give.

It depends what you want. I've heard that Scotty is releasing (released?) a weight kit, so the Select offers the ability to customize. The Style, however, offers what is probably a softer feel.
