oHHHH, so you know that Ryuji is lazy and a idiot??? I swear, we on this board are the most judgemental people. I will clue you in, Mr. Imada is a tireless worker and far from an idiot. We should be applauding these guys for taking their lumps like a man, instead of like the rolemodels of the other major sports.

I fully applaud him for taking his lumps like a man, and don't consider him lazy nor an idiot. I also feel for him because the mistake cost him dearly. With that said, it's still incomprehensible to me that neither he nor his caddy took the time to read the local rules, as I can't imagine it would take more than a few minutes to do so. As ghalfaire said, I'd think that would be part of any pro's preparation routine.

I agree with the statement that, Imada should have known better. He messed up, and he realized it and took the apopriate steps...should it occured, no! I just irriitated when individuals that are ignorant about the person or the situation involved make hatful statements

Yeah, I agree. I mean, poor, poor preparation on their part. Like a few others have said, this should definitely be part of the pre tournament routine. If you don't get handed the local rules sheet, go looking for it. But that's definitely no reason for any of us to call into question the man's intelligence. He made a mistake, nothing more.
