I will play there Wednesday of next week. The greens fee includes cart but I would like to walk if they allow it and there are no great distances between holes like some courses.

There are some GREAT distances between holes; #9 green to #10 tee is enough to wind me (and I'm in decent shape, cardio-wise). Long and uphill. #1 green to #2 tee, and I think 6-7 has some distance. Same with #11 green to #12 tee.

I prefer to walk most courses, and I feel I play better when I walk, but when I play Talega, I use a cart. I've never walked there, but I think they allow it on some times. But even I can't imagine it for some of the holes.

Oh, and enjoy the course. It's easily in my top-5 of courses I've played. Absolutely gorgeous and typically in great condition. If you have any issues, the course staff are quick to attend to it. I once had a cart die as we reached the tee for the first par-3 on the back; we called for a replacement, hit our tee shots, and walked to the green. By the time we holed out, our replacement cart had arrived.

I think by now you've played it, but no. No way is it a walkable course. It is a beautiful course though.

In my Ogio bag.

Titleist 910D2 driver, Adams irons & hybrid, Callaway wedges & a Nike Method putter.

And a yellow ball.
