Sand Wedge 56.14* Lob Wedge 60.8*. I feel like I have versatility in this set up. My GAP wedge has a low bounce too. Last weekend I hit it out of a rain hard packed bunker from a greenside mid distance bunker. (normally would have hit my 56* if not hard packed, or if the shot was closer and hard packed the 60*) Use the best tool for the job.

Laugh all you want but this club is my favorite (and most consistent). When in a trap, I aim 4-5” behind the ball, keep my hands low and swing down at that spot. The club does the rest. I also use this club around the green (works great especially well in tall grass). I use my regular 56° SW for approach shots between 110 and 40 yards.

      Tale of two swings.  Swing 1: Slightly outside takeaway (hands move outside of target line) only to allow trail elbow over collapsing at P4. Doesn't take much to overdo it for the trail elbow collapse to only further exaggerate. That's death. Swing 2: Hands stay slight in at takeaway for a much better trail elbow condition at P4. This is a hard sell from an instinct perspective. More focus on un-weighting and re-weighting of lead foot to unlock a bit more mobility of hips and torso. A major flaw that creeps up often is me swinging flat footed and becoming overly armsy-collapsy as a result. Got reminded of this the hard way during my 2nd round match for club net championship. Was cruising along 2up until I made the turn. Then lost the swing for next five holes. Andy was playing good enough to capitalize. By the time I regained my swing on 16th, it was too late. Even Andy was like "That was a gift". Obviously that stings because have played well enough lately. Should have closed him out of the game comfortably with a few holes to spare. Shoulda woulda coulda. Tough lesson. Damn. P.S. I know the swings look very similar but trust me there is a difference.
