Alright so me and 2 buddies are looking to go south for a week or so this winter. Were thinking Florida somewhere. We went to Myrtle last year in January and got extremely lucky because it was above 65 every day we were there, people said it was the first nice week in a while but we don't wanna take that chance again. Any suggestions on where to go in Florida? Thinking Orlando maybe a little farther south.

Orlando is a good option and is pretty easy to fly in and out of. Several nice courses to choose from too.

Orlando has a ton of nice resort courses that you can play but they can sometimes be a little pricey and sometimes it you get to close to disney area you have to contend with tourist traffic. You can also try the Tampa Area, tons to do with out the tourist traffic to contend with and tons of courses.

Orlando is good for a quick trip. Airport is big so you can get good flights, lots of well priced places to stay in the area and lots of courses on Golfnow if you want to look at discount tee times.

    • Day 159 1-19 Flow drill while attempting to add arch in wrist on downswing. Not where it needs to be but felt good working on swing flow.
    • Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.
    • That depends what you do within those two.  Are they your only options?   Check out Fit for Golf if you get a moment.  It's linked on the sidebar;  I did it for two years, stopped for a really bad reason, and I plan to get back to it soon.   Mike Carroll also has a great free podcast about a lot of topics in golf fitness.
    • Day 19, 1/19.  Finished work in time to spend 25 minutes hitting balls (hit 15) indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Usual focus.
    • Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
