I'm looking to replace my 60 wedge and have found good deals on a TM xFT wedge and a Scratch (forged jlm model with tnc grind) wedge.  Just looking for peoples views who have used either of these models.

Scratch makes a good wedge -- but the 1018 is just not that durable. If you use it for practice and play, the grooves wear quickly (and I've played about 6 Scratch wedges)

Don't know the TaylorMade.

(I play a Bridgestone WC Design 60 - variable bounce (10.5 in center with heel and toe relief and thin-medium sole - does everything for me - available at golfio.com for $49)

Ping G400 Max 9/TPT Shaft, TEE EX10 Beta 4, 5 wd, PXG 22 HY, Mizuno JPX919F 5-GW, TItleist SM7 Raw 55-09, 59-11, Bettinardi BB39

1018 is a cold rolled steel and yes, it is very soft.  It also bends easily and once bent loses much of its tensile strength (meaning that even if bent back to its original shape it won't be as strong as it was).  I would prefer a steel with some carbon content so that the forging process would work some strength into the metal.

While I dont have any info on the TM or Scratch 60 deg, I did buy a Vokey Oil can 60.4 last year.  Even at my high handicap, this is my new best friend in the bag.
