2011 Bob Hope Classic

Thanks to the big-name tourny overseas, the Hope has been pretty boring at has gotten very little press.

Also, I need to give a shout-out to Keegan Bradley. T5, 2 shots back, -11.

He's from my town, went to my high school, won several state championships on the golf team a few years before I played, etc. Up here in Massachusetts we don't get a lot of pro athletes (especially golfers) but another player from my town (who played with Bradley at my high school), Jon Curran, qualified for the US Open last year. He didn't get his Tour card, but still, the US Open is a big deal.

Bradley was 18th on the Nationwide Tour money list least year, so he got his PGA Tout card. Good to see him playing well, and I hope he wins. If he does my former coach will go crazy!

Any tournament can be boring if the coverage makes it that way.  This one is low key but fun to watch because of the amateurs.  They had a thing going between Bo Jackson and Alice Cooper that was cute.  An the slow motion swing analysis is good too.

Got to love Massachusetts athletes! There are more than people think for a small state.
