I have the Aldila "Serrano" shaft on my PING G15. I'll be honest, I can't tell if I like the shaft. The driver as a whole is really nice, but I don't know if its the driver head that I like or if the shaft is helping. I have also liked every club I have played that had a UST shaft.

In my Ogio bag.

Titleist 910D2 driver, Adams irons & hybrid, Callaway wedges & a Nike Method putter.

And a yellow ball.

The great irony of life: "If nobody gets out alive, what's holding you back!?"

Right at this moment have a Grafalloy ProLite 35S, stiff flex which is going worryingly well in a Titleist 983K. Not even an after market but the "for Titleist" version. Scary.
Really, really like the Grafalloy Epic T75S I have in a Titty 983E and love the UST ProForce Gold 65S I've used before.

BTW  Does anyone ever play with Graphite Design Pershing?   It's old but I ve heard some good reviews on it.

The Diamana Kai'li that came with My D2. When I was being fitted and hit the Graphite Design DI-6s. It felt a little better but at $500 bucks I couldn't pull the trigger. The good news is that Kai'li works well for me. They say stock shafts aren't as good as aftermarket shafts but, I think Titleist Kai'li comes pretty close.

Stock shaft even from Titleist has different specs from the aftermaket shaft.   I checked this on the Titleist Custom Fitting website, the specs are slighty different.   For example, Aldila VS proto 65 is from Titleist and weight around 67 gram.   The aftermarket version is Aldila VS proto 60 which weights at 62 gram.   The aftermarket version also has a stiffer tip.

Aldila Rip???  Better than the Matrix Ozik?

I do not know if it is better but it feels a little livelier.  The rap sheet on the Xcons is they produce the lowest spin rate for a head.  That is a great reputation. The problem I have is the xcon is in a taylormade head and my RIP is in a Titleist 910 D3 head... so they are not a direct comparison.  Given all that, the 910 with the RIP just feels easier to time and more controllable.  One thing I know is I like both of these shafts and I believe the shaft is the biggest part of a good feeling (and playing) driver.  So I am not saying there is a huge difference, I just like the RIP best.

Matrix XCon-6. Great shaft and I'm loving the trajectory on my 909 D2. Highish launch angle without much spin. Should be even better now that I have the new ProV1x in the bag.

$300 sounds a little more reasonable. At the time of my fitting Roger Dunn was asking $499 for the DI-6s. Do you get shaft upgrades for less $$ directly from the club manufacturer when place your order?

Shaft upgrades from manufacturer are not the same with the Aftermarket shaft.   These shaft upgrades have less quality.....

Yeah I saw on ebay, thos Di-6 priced at $300.   You might wanna check ebay...
