My set's Cobra S2 4i is 22º and a sound hit flies as long or even longer than my previous set's Mizuno MP57 3i (21º) and it is no wonder most golfers don't carry or use the S2 3i (19º) which equals most 2i's

An interesting thing I've read is that you should hit every iron you have to the same height. That's the way they're designed. So in my case if I can't consistently hit my 4 iron as high as my 5 iron I will replace it with a hybrid. I have no trouble hitting my 3 hybrid high. I'll give the 4 iron one more range session and then decide.

Correct me if Im wrong but don't some manurfavtures make hybrids as hybrids with longer shafts than iron shafts of the same loft, and some make hybrids as iron replacement hybrids with the same length as the iron they are replacing. That said id think that even if the hybrid was an iron replacement one would be able to hit the ball longer because a hybrid is easier to hit than a long iron just my .02

Depends on the shaft. If you have a traditional shaft like the Dynalite or Dynamic Gold, this is not the case. As you go from long to short irons, the higher the peak trajectory of each succeeding iron would be. (9 iron rises higher than 5 iron)

If you have flighted shafts, I'm not sure. Flighted shafts give a little extra lift boost to long irons, and slightly less lift in short irons to prevent ballooning. I've seen a brochure for irons or shafts which delivered the same peak trajectory for each iron in the set, but I can't remember what brand it was.

Anybody know this model of club, or maybe shaft?

Just answered my own question.

Found a Nike promo card for the V.Pro Combo irons. Nike says it uses CG mapping to move Center of Gravity around in iron heads to get the same peak trajectory for every iron.

Nike online shows that Dynamic Gold and Project X shafts are standard with club. I guess the CG mapping could cause Dynamic Gold to yield common peak trajectory for all irons.

    • From what I’ve read, it was in the manufacturing process and how the covers were nicking pretty easy.  He has had to resource his factory as the one used earlier is now a TM owned facility.  Initial reports seem to indicate the redesign is going to be a winner…

    • Typically less than 50. I find this can be affected by the "CART" signs on a given course. I don't like taking my rangefinder out of the cart and carrying it around to the green. I am very fearful I will leave it somewhere.
    • First ever holed out greenside bunker shot! It's crazy it took this long to finally get one during a round, but the cold streak is officially over. Hole 6 on the Palmer Course at PGAN. I hit my driver like 225 into a really stiff wind, then worm burned a hybrid into the bunker. I was about I dunno, 40-45 feet away. Birdie! Let's go! The red Xs the approximate location of each shot.  Really fun!!
