Okay, I'm learning a bit more about the game and scoring, etc.

The scorecards from courses have slope and rating info for the various tees. I noticed an obvious typo for one of the tees for one of the courses I play, so I went to the USGA website to get their slope and rating info for these courses.

I noticed that slope and rating for some of the tees is a bit different from what's on the cards. (Other than the typo.) The cards aren't new (same ones in use for years), and I'm not aware of any significant changes in the courses.

Which would be the correct source of info? Thanks.

Without any more details than that, it's impossible to say.  I'd ask the head pro.  He's more likely to know than anyone here.

Agree to ask the head pro, but it is very likely that the USGA data is the correct data.      The USGA is the entity that rates the courses and keeps the data base, and it is also their data that is used in the handicapping system.    Courses don't rate themselves, and their rating and slope numbers come from the USGA.      Courses have to be re-rated at least every 10 years or every 3 years if the course is newer than 10 years old, and some courses use old scorecards that haven't been corrected after a course rating is changed.

I was inclined to trust USGA data over the data from a course I play around here, but I've also noticed that their online database is missing (or has mis-filed, perhaps) data for a fair number of courses.  So I don't think I'd trust that, since it seems that it's not entirely up-to-date or complete.  The course pro, or someone involved with the local club ought to know what numbers they use.

In the bag:

Harmonized 52° GW, Tom Watson 56° SW, X-Forged Vintage 60° LW
White Hot XG #1 Putter, 33"
