grips too small?

can someone explain to me what having a grip too small would cause? i have regular grips with 4 peices of tape under. i have really long fingers. i feel like i tend to hold the face off with these grips and i have a titleist dci sand wedge with a lamkin jumbo on it and it seems like i always hit a draw with it. but then ive heard to big of a grip and you will slow down the release at impact can someone help?

to large of a grip will cause the clubface to stay open

to small of a grip will cause the clubface to close.

to me it feels like if the grip is too small i have to grip it tighter therefore holding it off can someone  tell me if this is true?

I don't think you can make a general statement about something like that. Grip size is an individual thing that depends on your grip, hand size, finger lengths and how you feel the swing. Find a golfstore and try out different ones.
