I have always been taught to tee a driver so that  the mid of the ball equals the top of the driver face when grounded behind the ball.

But this might have been something of 30 years ago whem the heads were way smaller, today this really looks to be highhhhhh ...... or is it just me ?

Last week one of my competiors having a TM Superdeep teed up with the ball sitting lower than the face of his driver at maybe about a half inch from the deck and even still his drives went highhhhhh.

What is your way and why ?

I see a ton of guys tee it high and last tournament, I played with a +1 and he had it teed maybe a 1/2 inch off of the ground.

Myself, I have the top of the ball basically even with the top of my driver because it is the height I have found the most consistentcy with.

It depends on your driver and swing. Experiment with different heights to find what works best.

I don't know what size tee i use, doesn't matter much. What i do is hold the ball and tee in my right hand, the ball will be ontop of the tee. The tee will be inbetween my index finger and the middle finger. So when i putt the tee in the ground, i am using the ball as leverage againts my palm. But what i do i keep my thumb pointing down so i get a guage as to how close the ball gets to the ground.

I tend to fight a negative AoA with my driver so I try to tee it just a bit higher in order to encourage hitting it on the up swing. I usually have about 1/2 of the ball or a little more above the crown of the driver.

Good rule of thumb is having the middle of the ball at the same height as the top of the driver.  That can vary due to whether you want to hit it a little lower, but that will help to ensure hitting the ball on the upswing.  You didn't say where you place the ball in relation to your stance, but it might be helpful to play it a little more forward, maybe as far as your left toe.  That also helps.

i tend to tee the ball up fairly high..i suppose my swing path is the reason for that..i am yet to play a round with my new R11 so maybe that will change since it will be a new club head that i will have to get used to
