This is the first public course in Mexico. It is only 9 holes, expensive (~$45 USD per 9 holes round), small and not too difficult (it is not rated yet), but at least we, non-club members, now are able to play golf!

Vanderbilt University just bought this course out a couple years ago and it is a spectacular all-private country club. It has two courses (Iron Horse *North* and Roper's Knob *South*). The courses are both 7,000+ yards from the tips. Great courses with high difficulty.

2H 18deg Slingshot Tour
MP57 3-PW Rifle Flighted 5.0 54* Vokey Spin Milled 60* BRZ Tour Action 900 Studio Select Newport 2

    • Day 39 (26 Feb 26) - Switched up the drill today as I wanted to work on wedges from roughish grass.  Have noticed that I’ve been scoopy on wedges in longer grass in recent rounds, especially green side.  Worked on keeping hands slightly fwd at contact…nothing like seeing the ball solidly come out with predictable distance.
    • Day 51: 2026.02.26 Some swings outside after rewatching video. Need to film at range this weekend to see if I'm making progress.
    • Last night I got to see Keb Mo live again, this time in a fairly small hall (1600 seats.)  A great show, relaxed and homey feel, and probably the best sound mix I've ever heard. And for guitar-playing folks, there's a documentary of Danny Gatton showing on various PBS stations.  One of the least-famous but best players ever, here's the schedule, and a taste: Events - THE HUMBLER - Danny Gatton The PBS broadcasts have shown or are scheduled in the following states & territories: California, Colorado, District of Columbia, (Washington DC), Idaho, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri,
    • I have only played one round and birdied both of the par threes on the front nine. I have never played a game like this, new here. Excited to join
    • It is a diminishing tournament which is a bummer. Most of the time it has to do with where they sit on the schedule but it not being one of the big ones makes it tough to get the big guys. But it is a chance for everyone else to make something happen, which is always fun to see who takes advantage.
