Hello

I'm doing some instructing work my the YMCA I work at(no golf course accessible) and I was wondering if you guys had and fun games for young golfers(10 and under)...we have limited equipment (clubs, balls, and rollout "green") and am drawing a blank on fun ideas for kids to get into golf.  Thank You!!

Maybe a putting contest? Place a small pole or flat marker about 15 or so feet away. Each kid gets three putts, the closest overall putt wins. Or maybe grab a hulahoop and set it up maybe 10 or so feet away. Let the bottom rest on the ground and prop the back up on a chair so that the hoop is angled up at about a 45* angle. Let the kids use a wedge or short iron and try to chip through the hoop. I don't know what skill level they have, but if they can't hit the ball off a mat get them a 1/8" rubber tee to use. Each kid gets a few tries and each ball that goes through the hoop earns a point. Most points wins. The more hula-hoops you have, the more kids can participate at the same time.

"Golf is an entire game built around making something that is naturally easy - putting a ball into a hole - as difficult as possible." - Scott Adams
