Hey, so lately it has seemed my short irons distance is out of porportion to my long irons (4, 5, 6) I am playing AP1's 4-PW. Like here are my yardages:

4-195

5-185

6-175

7-155-160

8-145

9-135

PW-115-125

Anything that might cause this? I naturally hit the ball with a high trajectory so am I hitting too high with my short irons and I need to play more back in my stance? My PW is roughly middle to middle-back of my stance

Currently your lofts from the factory are set up 4-P as 23-26-29-33-37-41-45.  I have maintained on other threads that the 3 degrees of separation from 4-5-6 is not enough spacing for most golfers.  My recommendation would be to look at something like 22-26-30-34-38-42-46 that would give you about 2.5 more yards between these clubs.

I went through this with my 735s and documented it well in the last link moving them from 22-25-28-31-35-39-43-47 to 21-24-28-32-36-40-44-48 which are specs that I have been playing since 1992.

Strong lofts in the short irons is the main thing holding me back from using my TA3s to start the season. I like 40, 45, 50 as my 8, 9, and PW lofts. If the grind doesn't allow the typical 48 degree PW to be bent to 50, then I swap it out.

Anyway, I actually think the OP's distances are fine. Maybe he just needs to work on making better contact with those long irons, but maybe it's the irons. The AP2 irons get knocks for poor distance control on partial shots (Golf Magazine reviews). Maybe the AP1s are similar?
