I think you are thinking of the David Koresh/Branch Davidians Compound raid in 1993 in Waco, Texas (see above). Also, you could be thinking of that nutjob Warren Jeffs. He was a polygamist and was just arrested by the FBI. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_Jeffs (On a side note, I went to a semester of study at Baylor University in Waco, Texas two years ago - and saw that the compound has been rebuilt and the Branch Davidians are still going. I heard it wasn't started by that David Koresh guy, and apparently it is under new leadership?) Phil M had more than one chick? Details, please! I hadn't heard that... Also, my money is on the name "Earl" being used in the kids name somewhere...

well, we all know about John Daly-he is a semi professional porn king..don't know how he does it-it was rumoured on WorldGolf.com that JD had been involved with Britney Spears-poor John..know i know why he trvels around in a tour bus!

Phil-he has fathered an 'illegitimate' child..this is widely known on the inner circle of the PGA tour, and is discussed on The Golf Blog by bloggers-not sure if i can mention that site on this site!!

Phil is wild though, he is a gambler and a heavy drinker too but it isn't publicised with the same indignity as JDs affairs.

The biggest 'player' on the PGA tour used to be Freddie Couples until he hurt his back. He used to be dynamite with the chicks about 15 years ago, and has lost more money through divorce than JD could ever dream of!

If he did hook up with Britney Spears - I feel really bad for him! Poor guy. I'd check into rehab just for that! Or shoot myself.

And I knew Phil had a gambling problem, but didn't know he was wild in any way. Wow. Did his wife threaten divorce? Was it done before or after they were married?? I have a buddy on the Tour right now (well, not this year), but he said that pretty much all the Tour players go gambling when in Vegas. He's sat at many tables with Paddy, Phil, etc. He says that's just what they do on Tour. I didn't know Phil was a party animal though! I found one source this was coming from: "max1234" (online screenname at the site http://forum.therx.com/printthread.php?t=290074 ) said in 2005, "The rumor around the PGA is that his Callaway bonus last summer went to settle up with Vegas... and getting that bonus was why he switched clubs just before the Ryder Cup, which was very unusual. Normally club switching is an offseason chore. The other rumor was that SI was set to release a story about Phil's illegitimate child during Master's week but FORD threatened SI with pulling all ad revenue in the future if they ran the story." Huh. I can't find a legit source anywhere on the net besides the blogosphere. Does anyone else know where I can find it...?

      Hi @RetiredOldMan!  I am glad to see you are still playing and having good scores.  I hope that when I am 79, I am not only able to play, but still able to produce as good scores as you have been doing.   I look forward to hearing more of your success and your opinion of the senior flex shafts.

      Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

      Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.
