Tiger's mom, Kutilda, is Thai and usually Asian families have their Grandma looking after their newborn babies, so I really believe that Tiger will not be affected by the birth of his first baby at all.

I wonder how that happened??

Well Basherbaker69.... how that happened?... I would say it that it was pretty natural given the fact that the two are married (I do not mean that you need to be married to get pregnant, though!)

I don't think that he is not concentrating enough on his golf... Tiger has won the last 6 in a row...and having sex is pretty human, no?

I agree, I think it's great that he's gonna have a little tiger cub running around. Like Ipark said, it's human!

hi

i was jesting- i hope that he grows up to have the values that Tiger's father taught him, and that he doesn't become some party animal waster-lets not forget that he will be heir to one of the biggest fortunes in the world when the time comes, second only to the Trump dynasty and various other tychoons in Saudi Arabia- i musn't forget you have Bill Gates too-we have Richard Branson and Sir Alan Sugar!!

cheers

Sorry Basherbaker69, I didn't realize that you were joking!

Do you think Tiger's baby is going to become as good as his father? (as a Golf player... I mean!)

hi

well that's a difficult one to answer-will anyone be as good as Tiger, or should i say as successful, as Tiger ever again?-PROBABLY NOT! is my answer

its one thing being as good as he is talent wise, but its very unique to also see someone with his work eithic and will to succeed-quite frightening really.

i think his son will be a good all round athlete, but whatever he does he will struggle to surpass what his father has achieved in such a short time.

what do you think?

Well... I think that all depends on how his baby is going to be educated, but I agree, he/she will never be as talented as Tiger.

This is because Tiger has been raised from an average middle class (what I want to say is "not rich and wealthy") family.

Tiger has been "forged" out from his family and his childhood. His tenacity, his desire to win, and his competitiveness all come from being diverse and not rich. His baby would undoubtedly start in a different social and financial position....

Hi

i agree, i think TW has his head screwed on and will ground his baby, presumably a son?, so that he lives his life in a noble manner!!

hope the marraige doesn't break down though, that would be bad for Tiger

Look at Davis Love Jr. and David Love III

Interesting point, but we

are talking about Tiger Woods. Davis Love III didn't have the records to climb over that Tiger's child will. Of course if there is any one to pass golf genes down that could produce a great golfer, Tiger would be the guy to do it. Imagine if he and Annika had a child. Well, just the end-result...not the actual act. (No snide comments Rafi.)

Now lets here all the theories about how this will impact Tiger's game.

24 hour, 7 days a week security. The paparazzi, kidnappers and society's perverts will be hounding them everywhere they go. I wonder what kind of security they have on their yacht when they go diving and anchor in isolated pirate coves.

Bury me with a golf glove in my pocket - just in case!

Yeah I'm guessing Tiger will continue to dominate. It's his life, it always has been. You can't take golf out of the kid. I also think it's cool he's having a son. It might help to offset the pain of his father. Now he can step into that role and see what a good job his father did on him! Let's face it, Earl was the man.

Ha! (Was that a "Utah Mormon Polygamy" joke I hear?) With a wife that fine, why would you ever need another one?

I believe you are thinking of

David Koresh and it was Waco, Texas...not Utah. Anyway...back to topic.

    • Hi @RetiredOldMan!  I am glad to see you are still playing and having good scores.  I hope that when I am 79, I am not only able to play, but still able to produce as good scores as you have been doing.   I look forward to hearing more of your success and your opinion of the senior flex shafts.
    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.
