Pffff great poll ......

I don't personally see the need for such a poll, with so less options ...... if 75% says it should be A are you going to order A ..... ?

Get fitted, try both and let us know which one you choose and why ......... if you want to add some valuable info to the forum.

First off who the F#$* are you to criticize my poll? If you dont like it then dont vote its as simple as that! I dont need your opinion on how to post a poll. I have tried numerous shafts and have narrowed it down to these two specifically. Hence the reason im on the fence! I'm not interested in any other shaft so why should I put more in the poll?  The poll is for people who have tried both and that can give feed back as to which one they prefer and why. I created this poll hoping I'd get some "valuable info" to make my decision easier. So if you don't have any "valuable info" on these shafts I'd appreciate it if you kept your rude remarks out of my thread. Thanks for nothing. Have a nice day.

Have you hit similar clubs with both shafts? Have you hit either one? I can see the reason for the poll, but I have serious doubts this forum will provide the answers your looking for. If you want a better cross section of low index players, you know where you need to go.

I have tried a number of shafts and narrowed it down to these two. I have hit both shafts with the same head. They both feel great. J/W what people prefer that had gamed these shafts for a number of rounds? So if this forum wont provide the answers I seek where is it that I should go?

There are some great players on this site and it has a great reviews section, but there seem to be more shaft junkies at golfwrx.com - not saying they're any better players, but they do seem to be a restless bunch when it comes to equipment.

I'm curious to know what type of replies you're receiving from that other site?  Any useful fedback received on this topic?

I don't think either shaft is inherently "better" than the other. They're just a bit different. UST and Oban both have great reputations, as far as I can tell. If you both fit you go with the cheaper/better looking/cooler one.

I like the way you think bro! they are about the same price but i think the oban has the edge as far as looks go. just something about a blue shaft and the solid black supertri looks amazing!

Although I have not specifically tried the UST "tour green" shaft, I have UST axivcore tour red & tour black shafts in both my 3 & 4 hybrids and in both my 5 wood and 3 wood. I want to put a UST axivcore in my driver also, I just cant seem to pull the trigger on one… I do not like the Aldila Serrano that I have in there now. I like the UST shafts, always have, they just fit my swing well. I like that the UST shafts dont feel too whippy towards the tip. They just feel strong.

What is the significance of the "tour green" shaft compared to the tour Red or tour Black? is it just the weighting? I didn't even know there was a "tour green" until recently. Haha

In my Ogio bag.

Titleist 910D2 driver, Adams irons & hybrid, Callaway wedges & a Nike Method putter.

And a yellow ball.

So you get a bit better ball flight, or a more boring low ball flight with that one? Might be worth checking out. I hate how high I balloon the ball sometimes with my driver.

Voting for just two very less known shafts is like marketing two shafts ....... I can understand you've narrowed your search for the optimum shaft to these two, but I can't imagine you are going to choose either of them based on the outcome of a poll. What if 10 voters say to go for a OBAN, bc it sounds exclusive or bc it reminds them of a small village in the Scottish Highlands where a splendid single malt is produced........ I can not imagine ......

There are so many splendid shafts, but what is spelndid for me, isn't splendid for you and what is splendid for "Pete", might not be splendid for "Mike", etc.

I have no opnion on either shaft, I had a Ping i15 driver once with the stock Axiv Core Tour Red shaft in it, didn't like the driver or was it the shaft (hard to tell) and the OBAN shafts have a great reputation for quality.

But it all depends on you and it has very little to do with what we think of it !

I am with Jamo ........ if both fit you go for : the cheapest. the best looking, etc...... at a 1.6 index I am sure you know which one to choose and why......

Have a nice day too !

I was having issues with that with my G10 (not so often, but the threat was always there). I put in a cheaper shaft (NVS S 75g - they had about 40 of them at the shop) because the guy at Golf Town specifically recommended them for G10s - he'd replaced about a dozen already. It $%^ rocks! I can actually hit a fade now!
