I notice my leading knee moves away from the target a fair bit, especially on a long backswing, and when that happens, my head moves back a tad. The lead knee is supposed to go down and a tad away from the target on the backswing, right? Is there allowance for it to move back?

You don't really want your front knee to go backward during the backswing, even on long swings. If your front knee goes back, the more likely the lower and upper centers go back on the backswing and more difficult it would be to get the centers forward enough at impact. I have included three S&T; model swings with woods (longer backswings) Grant Waite maybe moves his front knee just slightly backward in the backswing, but not much. The feel should be that your left knee flexes toward your left toe.

Thanks for the tips - I compared my vids to Wi, Celka and Lunde and reduced it. The knee to the toe tip was helpful.
