A great pity Montgomerie never managed to pick up the Majors of which he was undoubtedly more than capable...

...if this had have been the situation, I strongly suspect Monty might have been hovering somewhere around this list, too.

Only got into golf when Woods began to dominate and thus will only incorporate players I have been able to follow over the past 10 or so years (the last 14 being pretty much in arbitrary order) - apologies for the slight off-topic.

1. Tiger Woods

2. Padraig Harrington

3. Tom Watson

4. Ernie Els

5. Phil Mickelson

6. Sergio Garcia

7. Miguel Angel Jimenez

8. Darren Clarke

9. Lee Westwood

10. Luke Donald

11. Jim Furyk

12. Jose Maria Olazabal

13. Vijay Singh

14. Ogilvy Geoff

15. K.J. Choi

...EDIT: Just realised, Monty should'd been on this list.

Some who might make the list in the future (tempted to leave a sic here just in case).

Rickie Fowler

Rory McIlrroy

Ryo Ishikawa

Mateo Manassero

Dustin Johnson

Jason Day

My Aerolite bag contains:

VR Tour Driver Project X 5.5
904F 17* 4-wood Sabre Stiff
MP68 3-PW Project X 6.0
52* Vokey Spin Milled -wedge

Redwood ZB

I prefer a ball, but may occasionally hit almost anything.

Not sure what's happened in the past decade (or so) that would lead to Jose Maria Olazabal or Tom Watson making this list.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

Or having Vijay down in 13th behind players that didn't do half of what he did in the last 10 years

He should be in the top 4 at least. I'd have him in second place - for this particular timeframe I mean.

All-time. If you can't fathom the concept of the best all-time-why post?
